5. Detail Buddy Premium Detail Brush

While the detailing brush described above comes with soft bristles that easily bend, the Detail Buddy Premium Detail Brush comes with solvent resistant bristles that can easily handle tough cleaning jobs. This detailing brush is perfect for removing dirt and grime that has found its way into your emblems, trim, vents, and seats, and it is gentle enough to extract the dirt without damaging your interior.

Furthermore, the 2-inch long bristles allow you to reach further into tight crevices, meaning that no dirt is left behind. You should not use this versatile detail brush on paint surfaces as it might cause minor scratches.

4. Bissell 5207F SpotClean ProHeat Portable Spot Cleaner

One of the most difficult things about cleaning auto upholstery is that it always involves hard to reach places. That means you’re going to need a great portable auto upholstery cleaner, and we’ve got just the one for you!

The Bissell 5207F SpotClean ProHeat Portable Spot Cleaner is a great solution for cleaning out the interior of your car. However, the hose has caused some issues for past customers.

Most of the critical reviews on the Bissell 5207F result from leaking in or around hose connection points. Luckily, it is a pretty inexpensive model.

3. Mothers Detail Brush Set

While most brushes aim to loosen dirt that has embedded itself into your carpet and upholstery fibers, the Mothers Detail Brush aims to eliminate dirt in hidden areas.

This Detail Brush is designed with a comfort grip, soft scratch-free bristles, and a useful rubber tip. All of this makes the brush excellent for emblems, trims, vents, seams, and other tight crevices in your car. However, the soft bristles tend to bend easily (especially during tough jobs), meaning that you will need to replace your brush frequently.

Thankfully, they come in an affordable set.

2. Mothers Carpet & Upholstery Brush

If you are looking for a brush that offers amazing scrubbing power, look no further than the Mothers Carpet & Upholstery Brush. This lightweight brush has been designed with a comfortable non-slip grip, allowing for a firm hold when you are loosening embedded dirt.

The ergonomic brush has also been designed with stiff bristles with scratch-free properties. While these stiff bristles allow you to remove deeply embedded dirt, they might be too tough for some fabrics such as leather.

That’s why you need to test out the brush on a hidden area of fabric, to ensure that the bristles do not damage the fibers of your carpet or upholstery.

1. Bissell 3624 SpotClean Professional

If you are looking to restore your car’s interior to almost new condition, you don’t need to look any further than this machine by Bissell. The Bissell 3624 SpotClean Professional Portable Carpet Cleaner is perfect for cleaning out your car in the garage.

This spot cleaner has a long enough hose to reach deep into your vehicle without feeling restrained, and the ergonomic handle is great to work with. The brush has also been designed to fit into hard to reach areas, which is perfect for car seat upholstery. While this Bissell 3624 SpotClean Professional does require you to be near an outlet, it does a far superior job than other carpet & upholstery cleaning tools.

This is a tool we can definitely recommend!

5. Sonax (321200-755) Upholstery and Carpet Cleaner

If you put off your cleaning for too long, you’ll find that dirt and grime have embedded itself into your car upholstery, fabrics, ceilings, carpets, plastics, and door panels. Finding a cleaner that can effectively remove this dirt while maintaining the integrity of your car interior is difficult, but not impossible.

The Sonax Upholstery and Carpet Cleaner is a great option for all car owners struggling to get rid of stubborn dirt and stains. This cleaner uses surfactants (cleaning agents) which attach themselves to contaminants that have embedded themselves into your fibers. Once this bonding occurs, odors will be trapped and neutralized, leaving your car smelling fresh and clean.

While the Sonax foaming-action formula is great on grease stains, you might need to combine the cleaner with home cleaning solutions for getting rid of ink stains.

4. Griot’s Garage 10956 Interior Cleaner

One of the biggest fears of a car owner is to use a product that permanently damages the appearance of their upholstery. And with all the chemicals and dyes found in today’s cleaners, this fear is not unfounded. Luckily for both of us, I’ve come across a residue-free cleaner that retains the original color of your surfaces.

The cleaner I’m talking about is Griot’s Garage Interior Cleaner, which promises not to spot, fade, or alter the dyes of your surfaces. This allows you to clean without the fear of your colors running and ruining the appearance of your interior (always spot test this cleaner on after-market-dyed leather).

Despite its gentle handling of your interior colors, this cleaner will effectively remove stubborn stains from your car seats, door panels, headliners, dash, carpets, and floor mats. The interior cleaner is safe for vinyl, fabrics, and leather surfaces. Because the Griot’s Garage Interior Cleaner is not a concentrate, your cleaner will not last for very long.

3. Chemical Guys Lightning Fast Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner

#THE AGGRESSIVE DEGREASER FOR ALL YOUR TOUGH STAINS If you would like to recondition your interior surfaces, then Chemical Guys Lightning Fast Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner should be on your radar. This amazing cleaner works to lift dirt from your upholstery, carpet, leather, and vinyl, using a combination of optical brighteners and fabric softeners that leave your interior looking clean and new. Unlike other car cleaners that take a while to work, the lightning fast action on the Chemical Guys Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner is nothing short of superior. The only gripe that I can find with this cleaner is that it calls for 20:1 dilution, but it comes in a full spray bottle. You end up needing to transfer some to another bottle in order to dilute it.

2. Car Guys Super Cleaner

#THE ALL-ROUND CLEANER FOR YOUR INTERIOR SURFACES If your car seats are full of tough stains that refuse to come out, then you need to invest in a high quality cleaner that can eliminate the toughest stains. That’s where the Car Guys Super Cleaner comes in. This fast acting cleaner has been created to handle the toughest cleaning jobs, and will work through the most stubborn grease build-ups with ease. Simply spray the Super Cleaner onto your stain (it isn’t a concentrate so it doesn’t need to be mixed with water), and then wipe off the dirt and grime that has been causing you trouble. This versatile cleaner can be used on your car interiors (including leather upholstery), wheels, tires, your dashboard to name just a few parts. The residue-free Degreaser also leaves behind a lovely fragrance, which is refreshing if you are accustomed to nasty odors. Remember to use the Super Cleaner in an open area where you do not have to breathe it in, as the spraying mist is harsh.

1. 303 (30606) Fabric Guard Trigger Sprayer

# THE PERFECT WATER AND STAIN REPELLENT GUARD FOR YOUR FABRIC Unlike the other cleaners on this list that work to clean your fabric, the 303 Fabric Guard Trigger Sprayer works to protect your fabric. When applied to clean and dry fabric, the 303 Guard works to replenish any stain and water repellency that has been lost from your fabric. By doing so, it ensures that your car upholstery remains resistant to any spills and stains that may occur in the future. This, in turn, increases the longevity and attractive appearance of your upholstery. The 303 Fabric Guard works perfectly on natural and synthetic fibers and can be used on car upholstery, rugs, RV covers, leather interiors, and fabric convertible tops. This Guard also works to inhibit the growth of mildew and mold, while ensuring that the colorfastness of your fabric holds. However, the strong odor of the Fabric Guard means that you should always use it in a ventilated space.
