Flex XC3401VRG Orbital Action Polisher Review
It is a fact that orbital polishers are much in demand and Flex Dual Action (VRG 3401 or flex auto polisher) is one of them! Standing third on this list, this device is a professional buffer that offers a highly smooth running. This ensures a precise finish that is hologram free due to the orbital rotation which simulates circular movements in the human hand. It delivers unmatched power with brilliant ergonomics. PROS & CONS: Flex XC3401VRG Orbital Action Polisher Review
Its a beautiful piece of machinery for starters. The Flex XC3401VRG Orbital Action Polisher is an all action tool that will restore your ride and make your car shine! The variable speed trigger allows you to gradually get into the process of waxing your car for the best car shine.
Its a smooth ride; it doesn’t rattle your hands and car- which can get annoying (some people learn to love it). You wont need to worry about applying pressure.
The forced rotation allows you to apply pressure without the worry of the Flex Orbital getting stuck or bogging down mid- wax. Also down worry about it slowing down either, if you like detailing your own car for hours on end or you have a car detailing business, the Flex Orbital Action Polisher can last for hours- can’t say the same for other detailing products.
- Variable Speed Trigger
- No Bogging Down
- Removes scratches, swirls and oxidation easily
- Beautiful Design
- Comfortable handling
- Faster, durable and more reliable than any other buffer on the market.
The most obvious con about the Flex Orbital Action is its very expensive. It may be the most expensive buffer on the market. Its clear that you can purchase another car buffer and get the car buffer kit for your detailing business. Its all up to you and your budget.
The Flex is a little heavier than other car buffers and isn’t the easiest tool to handle out-of-the-box. You will need to have some experience, although the learning curve isn’t too long- it all depends on your level of experience and ability to learn new processes.
- Slightly heavier than its competitor (Porter Cable aka PC)
- Very Expensive
- Not ideal for beginners
- One size backing plate
There were some concerns earlier in its development regarding the pads, but you can now get more separately.
In terms of polishing your ride for the ultimate shine, it does the job 100%- the high cost it for the speed and comfortability of the product. Not to mention the durability and longevity.
Still, we and many other car detailing pros would argue, if you don’t have the budget or are not sure about handling the machine you can opt to get a more beginner friendly and inexpensive detailing product.
